This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas.
About the Training:
A required training for HHSC funded CCP and PRC staff, participants in this Epidemiology 101 training will be able to:
1. Define basic epidemiological terms
2. Describe the relationship between prevalence and incidence.
3. Identify core concepts of research.
4. Differentiate between types of bias and error.
Continuing Education Hours: 1.0*
Satisfactory completion of continuing education hours (CEHs) requires attending at least 85% of the training duration, participating in activities (e.g., polls, breakout rooms), and completing the training evaluation.
Requirements:
This training is virtual, occurring live over Zoom. All participants are expected to fully engage in the training, which calls for reliable internet connection and use of a webcam. All participants are required to join on camera and expected to fully engage in the training to be eligible to receive a (CE) certificate upon completion.
