This training is intended for CCP prevention professionals in Texas who did not complete these sessions at TX APPM.
About the Prioritizing and Interpreting Findings training:
Building on the data and assessment work from Mapping Local Realities, this session focuses on making sense of findings and translating them into action. Participants will examine practical approaches for prioritizing community needs and interpreting assessment data in ways that align with local priorities and real-world conditions. The session emphasizes applying community relevance to avoid common pitfalls such as responding to data trends without sufficient context. Participants will practice moving from information to actionable strategies that are realistic, responsive, and grounded in community capacity, ultimately strengthening coalition impact and sustainability.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
-
Prioritize and interpret community assessment findings using data, community input, and coalition capacity to reflect local context and practical realities;
-
Translate prioritized needs into actionable, community-relevant strategies aligned with coalition goals; and
-
Strengthen decision-making processes that ensure community needs guide planning, implementation, and ongoing improvement.
