This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas who have worked in the field for less than 18 months.
About the Introduction to Ethics in Prevention Training:
Developed by TPT in response to feedback from providers new to prevention who found the Ethics in Prevention training too advanced, this interactive course is designed specifically for professionals with less than 18 months of experience in the field. It introduces participants to the foundational role of ethics in prevention work and creates space for deeper exploration and understanding.
Through guided discussions and hands-on activities, participants will learn core ethical concepts, identify the six Prevention Ethical Principles, and learn about an ethical decision-making process. Unlike other ethics training courses, this course explores each of the six principles in greater depth, giving new prevention professionals the time and context needed to evaluate and understand how these principles apply to real-world scenarios. This training supports early-career professionals in building confidence and clarity around ethical standards in the field
