This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas who have been in the field of prevention for at least 1 year.
About the SAPST Training:
The SPF: Application for Prevention Success Training (SAPST) is a foundational course of study in substance abuse prevention. This 2023 version was created through a collaborative effort of SAMHSA’s regional Prevention Technology Transfer Centers (PTTCs) and National Coordinating Office. It is for entry-level prevention practitioners working in states, jurisdictions, tribes and communities. The SAPST training is grounded in current research and SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework. It provides knowledge and skills to implement effective, data-driven prevention programs, practices, and policies that reduce behavioral health disparities and improve wellness.
