This training is intended for Youth Prevention (YP) program providers who are approved by Texas Health and Human Services Commission to implement Strengthening Families Program 7-17 curricula.
Orientation training for Strengthening Families Program 7-17 instructs participants on how to implement the SFP 7-17 program. This training provides an overview the program history, research, and implementation strategies of SPF 7-17. This an interactive virtual training that will be conducted over 2 days. Participants will be expected to view all SFP implementation videos prior to training and come to the training prepared to implement a lesson via virtual break-out rooms.
Continuing Education Hours: 12.0* (over 2 days) Satisfactory completion of continuing education hours (CEHs) requires attending at least 85% of the training duration, participating in activities (e.g., polls, breakout rooms), and completing the training evaluation. Requirements All participants are encouraged to join on camera and expected to fully engage in the training to be eligible to receive a Continuing Education (CE) certificate upon completion.
Participants are also required to have the updated version of SFP Curriculum on hand during the training. The approved SFP curriculum should include material on a USB drive dated June 2024 or later. If you do not have the current material on hand by the training date, you will not be able to complete training and obtain your certificate.

Every agency should have a copy of the master set ($450) and a separate guide for each facilitator ($35)
Registration Approved registrants will receive an email confirmation with the Zoom link to attend the virtual training and an email from TPT with the SFP Online Viewing Codes, Training handouts and implementation guides.
