July 28, 2022 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas.
About the Training:
Social-emotional learning is vital for children because it teaches them crucial life skills, including the ability to understand themselves, develop a positive self-image, take responsibility for their actions, and forge relationships with the people around them. Through SEL, children can gain the following tools, which are required to set goals for themselves: solve problems, persevere in the face of adversity, fight for social justice, empathize with other people, take responsibility, lead by example, and establish the kind of behaviors that most predict long-term success in modern life. This workshop will focus on activities adults learn first for themselves and then teach the children, youth, and families they serve to find their own grounded place.
